Evolution by Bonnie Cameron!

This piece was created for a juried art exhibition that had the theme of “A Novel Idea!” You are looking at my visual interpretation of “Roots” by Alex Haley.

I chose the Baobab tree to depict this piece because it is native to Africa. Many of those still standing today have been around before and since the birth of Christ.

Rope and cloth are made from the bark. Condiments and medicines from the leaves. Inside a hairy pod is a white pulp from which “cream of tartar” is derived. New works -->
